A Political Action Committee Focused On Electing Black Women To Public Office In Washington State

The Opportunity PAC was started to address the racial and gender inequities that exist in supporting candidates of color, particularly Black womxn. The Democratic electorate has been led by and built by Black voters, but our state legislature and other halls of power do not reflect that. Black communities need representation in the room where it happens.

In 2020, we helped several Black womxn gain seats in the Washington State House, and a Black Senator from Washington State was elected for the first time since 2010. In a world demanding justice, the election of these Democratic Black womxn to our legislature will provide access for many disenfranchised voters.

We seek to amplify the campaigns of BIPOC womxn as they run for election to public office.
